WEEK #22 Feliz Ano Nuevo!

Hope you all had a great new years and did something fun to bring it in!  This week flew by again, and was a ton of fun!!  Today we played soccer again, in this little turf arena thing.  Its super fun!  Ill send some pics!

It looks as if my comp is kicking me in the head!
So we had a lot of success this week in teaching, and finding, and having people in church.  A great way to start out 2015 with a bang!  We taught a lot of lessons this week and started to get back into the swing of things after Christmas and a lot of people being gone and such!

So this week we challenged our investigator Cory, the sister of Miss Honduras to be baptized and she said yes, but she just needs a little bit more time to read and to know for herself that this is the true church! Super stoked about that.  Her family is absolutely amazing and her mom has one of the strongest testimonies that Ive ever heard.  We also had all of our main investigators in church this Sunday which was a miracle as well.  We had Omar in church after him not having attended for 4 weeks straight and had our new, super fastly progressing investigator Daniel to the church as well, we had Belarmino who hasnt been in 3 weeks and Yolany!  Daniel being his first time, loved the church.  Hopefully we can keep him with that enthusiasm!  Hes only 18!  It was also super good to have Omar there, cause now we can continue to teach him and I know he is going to be such a great member.  He gives us so many references and has no fear about talking to anyone about our church and how its awesome.

This week we our going to be having if everything turns out good, and it should, the baptism of Yolany!!  She is such a cool person.  She is like 24 years old and has a little 4 year old girl and her Grandma is a member.  Yolany in every prayer talks about her desire to be baptized and I can tell that she is ready to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized.  Shes someone that just wants to do what God wants of her.  Hopefully I will be sending pictures next week of the baptism.

Opening gifts on Christmas Day!
Also we are going to be having changes this week.  Were going to get a call that tells us who our new companions are and where Elder Baird is going because hes been here for 6 months which is a long long time for one area.  Hopefully everything goes well with our new companions and I know the President has the inspiration of God and that my next companion is going be perfect for me.  Gonna miss Baird though, cause hes been a great companion to me for these 6 short weeks.  Weve had a good time for sure.  2 Kickers from Utah.

So we had a pretty legit new years party!  We had to be in at like 7 and so we made some good old hamburgers, and french fries, and got a big 3 liter of sprite.  The burgers took like 2 hours to make though being as we were cooking them one at a time on a single burner that barely works with a little pan.  We played a lot more scum, and ate tons of french fries and downed the ketchup too.  We couldnt go to sleep as it was too loud outside because there was a party outside like right next to our apartment that was blasting Regatone music the whole night and bass was literally shaking our apartment.  So we just played cards and brought in the new year in Honduras!  Pretty fun.

So this New Year I hope that you all have made your goals.  I hope that you achieve them, and one of the best ways to do that is to go over them like every week and making sure your still on track to complete them, adjust them a little if necessary, but always try to focus on them.  I challenge all of you to start reading your scriptures every night, and to pray both morning and night.  For your scriptures it can be solely a verse every night, a column, or even a page or chapter but if we do these little things then we will stay on the right track and be holding on to that iron rod that leads to eternal life.  I hope you all had a great new year, and love you all!

Love Elder Hunt
